Yippee! We Live In Virginiasota Now!
Last time Democrats controlled Virginia, they tried to turn the commonwealth into California.
High taxes, high gas prices, EV mandates, oppressive covid restrictions.
This time, it’s worse. They aim to turn Virginia into Minnesota.
Gov. Abigail Spanberger apparently looked West, saw an unaffordable state full of environmental laws that make things like rebuilding a home after a wildfire impossible and decided that wasn’t enough of a dramatic change for the commonwealth.
Instead, in her inaugural address she made it clear that Virginia - like Minnesota - is at war with the federal government.Henceforth a sanctuary state where the Virginia State Police are forbidden to work with ICE agents to peacefully deport illegal aliens.
Listen to her:
Sorry, ma’am, there’s no such thing as a law-abiding illegal. By definition these squatters are illegal. They are living in our country unlawfully and 71 million of us voted to get them out.
Deporting illegals can be done the easy way - with full cooperation of state and local law enforcement which allows orderly pickups at courthouses and jails and by serving arrest warrants with the backup of local law enforcement.
Or it can be done the hard way. That’s when local law police refuse to help and ICE is forced to round up pedophiles, rapists and murderers in hostile environments where left-wing radicals actively interfere to protect criminals.
Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares reacted to Spanberger’s radical move:
"Within the few first hours of Democrats having complete control in Richmond, they have made it easier for illegal immigrants who commit crimes against Virginians to remain in the Commonwealth by repealing EO 47," he wrote on social media.
"By directing our local law enforcement to stop working with federal law enforcement agencies, our streets have become less safe with a stroke of the pen," he added.
"Mark my words, there will be Virginians who will be robbed, raped and murdered as a result of this anti-public safety executive order. No one should be surprised."
Mark my words, this antagonism toward federal agents will embolden Virginia’s anarchists to take to the streets.
We haven’t seen widespread civil disturbances over ICE in Virginia because under the Youngkin administration federal agents had the full cooperation of state police. Most localities also aided the agents.
Within minutes of taking office, Spanberger signed an executive order reversing Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s Executive Order 47 that authorized state police and the department of corrections to assist federal authorities.
Thanks to Spanberger and radical clowns she’s installed in state government, the era of cooperation is over. What is likely to happen now will be street protesters in Northern Virginia and Charlottesville will actively impede ICE, protecting illegals regardless of their criminal status.
It became crystal clear on Saturday that Spanberger doesn’t want Virginia to become California. She’s itching to turn the Old Dominion into Minnesota.
