Sleepy Joe Tries To Play The Nickname Game

Sleepy Joe Tries To Play The Nickname Game

They think they’re so clever.

Eight years after Donald Trump vanquished his foes while giving them unflattering nicknames - Little Marco, Lyin’ Ted, Crooked Hillary - Sleepy Joe’s desperate handlers are giving it a try.

Trump’s the master of the off-the-cuff insult. Don’t try to beat him at his own game.

Nevertheless, these out-of-touch Mensa members put their heads together and guess what they came up with?

Broke Don.

Pitiful.

The first rule of derogatory nicknames says the adjective must have two syllables. Also, alliteration is a plus. I have several devilishly good nicknames for Trump.

Nope, not going to share them with these left-wing halfwits.

Beyond that, for a nickname to have the desired effect it must contain a whiff of truth.

Anyone with an ounce of brain power knows that the fact that Trump doesn't have $454 million in a savings account is not a sign of being broke. This naive belief that billionaires keep millions in their sock drawers a la Fani Willis is idiotic.

Their loot is tied up in real estate and investments. Billionaires’ liquid assets are minuscule compared to their net worth.

Fools who keep their treasure under the mattress wind up as incompetent prosecutors in corrupt Democrat cities, not on the Forbes list of billionaires.

There’s another reason “Broke Don” is lame and will probably backfire: Many Americans actually ARE broke right now, thanks to Biden’s inflationary policies.

They’re unlikely to find this moniker amusing.

While overall inflation was up 19% in the first three years of Biden’s failed presidency, grocery prices soared 25 percent.

When you’re sitting around the kitchen table trying to figure out how you’re going to buy food for the family, gas for the car or find money for your kid’s school trip, yucking it up about someone else being destitute is not going to cut it.

Despite non-stop lies spewing from the White House on the economy, fact is three out of five Americans are in serious credit card debt, owing an average $5,875 according to Yahoo Finance, which also reports that Americans spent a record $240 billion last year in interest on credit cards.

The Financial Times just published a sobering assessment of the personal finances of many Americans and the reason that happy news from Washington isn’t resonating in American homes. The report says that consumers paid “almost 50 percent more in credit card expenses last year than in 2020” and delinquencies are running at a 13-year high. “

It’s worth noting that all of the merry economic news the Biden administration keeps churning out never includes the high cost of borrowing.

Why should it? The only debt Sleepy Joe and his handlers care about is student debt.
