A Massachusetts family has been torn apart by the state after Joseph and Arlene Kutzko refused to allow their then-15-year old daughter, Sophie, to “transition” to a boy.
Officials at Sophie’s high school allowed her to “socially transition” at school without the knowledge or consent of her parents. Her parents refused to affirm her new identity and a school counselor reported them to Massachusetts’ version of CPS.
The state seized Sophie in December of 2024, obtained a permanent restsaring order against her parents and no one in the family has spoken to her since.
They are fighting in court to get their now-17-year-old daughter back.
The Kutzkos claim that Sophie is being housed in a male dorm.
Grooming followed by kidnapping. This is Kafkaesque.
According to Fox News, the Kutzko family is Catholic and cited their religious faith as reason they could not allow their daughter to “transition” to a boy.
It’s also the result of common sense. Why would parents lie to a child, allowing her to believe that it is possible to switch genders? Amputating breasts, guzzling hormones an fashioning a fake penis out of bowel material won’t make her male. It will make her a mutilated woman.
It is a family’s worst nightmare. Devout Catholic parents are fighting in court to regain custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Sophie, and stop Massachusetts authorities from medically transitioning her with high-dose testosterone. In December 2024, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) removed the then 15-year-old from her home because her parents, Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, would not recognize their daughter as a boy due to their faith–an identity change they allege staff at Algonquin Regional High School initiated in secret. Although physical abuse claims against Joseph were deemed unfounded, a permanent restraining order was issued against the family, and DCF cut off contact after the Kutzkos would not call Sophie by a male name or pronouns.
News accounts of the case are sparse - legacy media has ignored it - except for Fox News, The New York Post and independent news sources.
Massachusetts Department of Children and Families retains custody of the confused teen.
A judge last week blocked the state from administering high-dose testosterone to Sophie.
Thank God.
That judge should immediately lift the restraining order and return the girl to her family.
Parents have the right to rear their children as they see fit, without interference by the state, with very few exceptions.
Refusing to go along with the lie that girls can be boys does not rise to the level of losing one’s kid.
