Dems Don’t Want To Talk About Their River Of Poop
In the past month Virginia’s two senators and governor have been busy on social medial.
Mark Warner interrupted his relentless whining about President Trump long enough to demand that Kristi Noem and Pete Hegseth be sacked and to blame Robert Kennedy for an outbreak of measles among adults. Tim Kaine constantly blamed Trump for prices that have remained stubbornly high since his pal, Joe Biden, created 9.5% inflation. Meanwhile, he’s ranted incessantly about Trump’s tariffs and ICE.
Spanberger’s team clearly realizes the new gov is increasingly seen as a she-witch by voters who believe she lied about being moderate to get elected. They’re attempting to soften her image with X posts that showed her merrily grilling some sort of meat, celebrating the birthday of Shadow Governor Louise Lucas and finally, on Saturday, wishing her husband a happy Valentine’s Day.
Why is it that some folks feel the need to take to social media to send their spouses love? Why not simply hug their significant other instead of posting cringey performative messages?
When it’s a politician doing this you can be sure it’s damage control.
You know what Virginia’s three Democrat musketeers heaven’t been posting about?
The largest wastewater spill in U.S. history that has befouled the Potomac River and threatens the Chesapeake Bay.
They’d be spewing about it endlessly if they could find a way to blame Donald Trump!
Yep, the Potomac River, which forms the boundary between Virginia and Maryland and DC is a “river of poop” right now and yet Virginia’s top three politicians - all terribly concerned about the environment, have been mute.
Wonder why?
Could it be that drawing attention to the Maryland pipe collapse will simply shine a spotlight on the disastrous policies of Democratic administrations of Maryland and D.C.? After all, Gov. Wes Moore is considered a possible candidate for president in 2028.
To express alarm over the environmental disaster would also make Spanberger look like a nut for emphasizing Virginia’s membership in RGGI - the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a compact by 10 states to cap carbon emissions by limiting how much pollution energy production facilities can emit- while looking the other way as Virginia’s most precious watershed is imperiled.
This spill, which sent almost a billion gallons of “potent, high-test sewage” into the Potomac threatens the crab, rockfish and oyster industries of two states.
While the pipe will take as many as nine months to fix, engineers have temporarily diverted the raw poop into the C & O Canal that runs just feet away from the river.
What could possibly go wrong?
It’s not just Dem politicians who are ignoring the spill, legacy media has been quiet as well.
Makes sense when you remember that the dying corporate media general functions as a mouthpiece of the Democrat Party. Imagine the carpet coverage they would engage in if this were an oil spill by a petroleum company instead of a sewage spill caused by an inept Maryland Democrat machine.
We all know Warner, Kaine and Spanberger would be bloviating non-stop about the spill if they could find a way to blame Trump - or some other Republican - for it.
