Militant Teachers Union Showers Spanberger With Loot
Let’s hope it’s deja vu all over again.
Anyone else remember the last Virginia gubernatorial election, the one where Terry McAuliffe was leading in all the polls? Then Glenn Youngkin began to catch fire with his parental rights issue?
In desperation, McAuliffe turned to one of the most unattractive, abrasive union bosses in the country for help: Randi Weingarten.
Yep, he joined hands with the president of the militant American Federation of Teachers (she retired in June of this year). The woman who worked with the CDC to draw up ruthless, unscientific guidelines that kept children out of school for more than a year while teachers got manicures and worked on their tans.
On the eve of the election - McAuliffe was canoodling with this Birkinstock-wearing Marxist.
She was one of the reasons he lost.
In a sense, she’s back.
According to VPAP, Randi’s union is one of Spanberger’s top contributors. The far-left teacher’s union dumped $500,000 into Abigail Spanberger’s campaign coffers - which were already flooded with out-of-state and special interest dollars - late last month
Why is this gang of lefties determined to elect this woman?
They know that if a Democrat is back in the Governor’s Mansion , the radicals running Northern Virginia schools will have an ally as they fight the Department of Education for violating Title IX by allowing boys who pretend to be girls to invade spaces and teams previously reserved for females.
Spanberger likes to brag that she has three daughters in Virginia public schools. At least one reporter has tried to ask her the following questions, but he’s been blocked by her aides:
Should her girls be forced to undress in front of boys? Should they have to share bathrooms with males? Should they have to compete with boys for a spot on athletic teams?
Spanberger won’t answer.
