Virginia’s Most Unhinged Senator
I’m worried about Mark Warner.
You know, the guy who promised to serve just two terms when he first ran for the U.S. Senate and is now poised to run for his 4th.
Although he has lots of seniority in the Senate, he’s an inconsequential lawmaker. Except in his own mind, which is short circuiting due to a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Seriously, the man who remained mute when a garden gnome was in the White House for four years has suddenly found his voice. Unfortunately, to hear it, his followers on X also get a good look at his nose hairs.
That’s because Warner is fond of posting unhinged car video rants where, like a typical boomer, he holds the phone way too close to his face as he sputters about how much he loathes President Trump and Republicans.
Warner outdid him self those week, tilting at the Big Beautiful Bill windmills and bragging about how he pulled an all-nighter to try to thwart the will of the American people.
Sleep-deprived Warner is worse than well-rested Warner.
But that isn’t why I’m writing this. Warner beclowned himself when he posted several times on X claiming that Republicans were privately telling him how much they hate Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill and how they encouraged him to keep speaking up.
Sure they did.
File this Warner post under “Things That Never Happened” or “Mark Warner’s Listening To Those Voices In His Head Again”.
Virginia can do better than this. He’s up for reelection in 2026. Did I mention he pledged to serve just two terms?
Almost anyone would be better. Glenn Youngkin comes to mind. So does Nick Freitas.
