Amused And Unoffended: Trump’s Pope Post
Here’s the truth: I laughed on Saturday when I saw the AI image posted by President Donald Trump of himself in papal garb.
I wasn’t the only one.
But within minutes of Trump’s post going live every left-wing abortion-loving, trans-loving, men-in-women’s-bathrooms, groom-the-kids leftie popped up insisting that every Catholic had a duty to be offended by the photo.
It’s the outrage of the week. Last week they were offended by Trump’s blue suit at the Pope’s funeral. This week they’re clutching their imaginary pearls over a Trump-as-pope joke.
If you’re on social media you saw them, the thousands of “I’m not Catholic but…” posts.
Sorry, not playing.
The most offensive president ever was Joe Biden who claimed to be one of us - heck, the media dutifully referred to him as a “devout” Catholic over and over - even though he was a repulsive abortion enthusiast who wanted tax dollars to pay for these ungodly procedures.
Easter last year was also honored as Transgender Day of Visibility by Biden’s White House.
And who will ever be able to forget the image of half-naked trans weirdos prancing around on the White House lawn during some sort of pride event?
Biden was also fond of characterizing efforts by normal parents to get books like “Lawn Boy” and “Gender Queer” out of elementary school as “book banning.”
If he still had his faculties about him, Biden would no doubt side with the degenerate Montgomery County School Board in Maryland that is forcing even pre-school public school children to listen to storybooks about trangenderism and gay lifestyles - until the U.S. Supreme Court stops them, that is.
Joe Biden should have been excommunicated decades ago. Along with Nancy Pelosi and a host of other so-called Catholic politicians.
Trump? He’s not Catholic and at present we don’t have a pope.
I don’t speak for all Catholics, but this is the most Catholic-friendly administration in history. Trump’s cabinet and advisors are overwhelmingly Roman Catholic.
Oh, and the Republican National Convention didn’t feature convenient curbside abortion vans so women could terminate their pregnancies and not miss any of the convention fun. So there’s that.
Put me down as one of the millions of American Catholics who are amused by the sudden sanctimony being displayed by the crowd that’s normally hostile to Christians.
