Biden’s Feckless Foreign Policy

Biden’s Feckless Foreign Policy

This piece was going to begin with these 10 words: Looks like “Don’t” isn’t an effective foreign policy.

Turns out the White House assertion that Joe Biden told the Iranians “Don’t” retaliate for the attack on their embassy in Syria was probably just another exaggeration.

The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that Iran shared its plan to attack with Turkey which in turn shared them with the U.S.

Biden then sent a message to the mullahs through Ankara: Iran’s response “must be within certain limits.”

In other words, don’t kill too many Jews.

Let that sink in. The president of the United States may have green-lighted an attack on one of our staunchest allies.

This is sickening.

Next thing the world knew, Iran was lighting up the sky over Israel with a swarm of drones and missiles. Israel’s Iron Dome and other defense systems in coordination with American forces was able to thwart most of the incoming fire.

Knowing now that this may have happened with Biden’s blessing makes the events in Washington look rehearsed. There was the president making a show of cutting short his beach vacation to return to the White House. Still photos of Biden and company in the “war room.” Then the shooting down of missiles and drones.

The only thing the White House hadn’t planned for was getting the president’s State-of-the-Union cocktail ready so he could stand up, look alert and deliver a critical live television message.

We all know why Biden’s handlers quickly called a lid Saturday night. The president is physically and mentally unable to deliver the sort of impromptu address any president would be expected to make during a crisis. He’s too feeble.

Here’s a fact: Every one of those ballistic and cruise missiles and the swarm of drones that Iran launched toward Israel on Saturday were purchased with money provided by the single biggest failure in American presidential history: Joe Biden.

According to The Wall Street Journal: The attack on Israel also underscores the failure of Mr. Biden’s Iran policy. He tried to mollify the mullahs by easing sanctions, freeing tens of billions in frozen funds, and trying to renegotiate the 2015 nuclear deal. Iran spied weakness and has mobilized its proxy forces against Israel, U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq, and commercial ships in the Red Sea.

During his presidency Donald Trump had effectively bankrupted Iran. The country couldn’t sell its oil and its foreign investments were frozen. And while Iran is not supposed to be selling oil today, it does. In fact, Iran markets about 1 million barrels a day. The mullahs are awash in dough, thanks to Joe.

On Sunday it was reported that Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “take the win” and not to retaliate against Iran.

Someone please remind Biden that Iran launched 170 drones, 120 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles at civilian targets in Israel on Saturday. What’s Israel supposed to do, wait till next time to strike back? Iran has been attacking Israel for years through its proxies.

Israel will likely hit Iran. When it does, tensions in the Mideast will escalate.

Should there be a resulting disruption in oil production the United Sates will be caught with its pants down. Thanks again to Biden who emptied the Strategic Petroleum Reserves for political reasons before the midterm elections and hasn’t yet replenished them.

Is there any aspect of foreign policy Joe Biden hasn’t botched badly? No there isn’t.

When it comes time to vote for Biden in November the whole world should be hoping Americans “Don’t.”
