If adults want to watch men dress up like sluts and stars and shake their booties, fine. But these shows should not be in schools or the public square or anywhere children could be exposed to them.

We haven’t been reading a great deal about sharks for the past three years, because the news media found something better to scare the bejabbers out of the public: “scary-new-variants-are-coming” and “covid-isn’t-over” stories.

No matter how you feel about Donald J. Trump - love him or loathe him - this is a dismal day for our country. Unless the prosecutor has evidence of a serious crime that we’ve heard nothing about, this is an ugly example of abuse of prosecutorial power.

The last school board was on a mission to dumb down the best schools in Hampton Roads. To a great extent, they succeeded.The new board -including old members who suddenly saw the light - voted overwhelmingly on Tuesday night to reverse the stupidity and return sanity to Beach schools.

Instead of expressing revulsion for what one of their own had done when she blasted the life out of three little children and three adults, trans activists began parsing news reports in search of examples of “misgendering” of this biological female killer who had identified as a male.

Perhaps you heard, Christie’s brilliant mysteries that have endured for more than 80 years, are getting a “woke makeover.”

Democrats believe parents shouldn’t know about violent acts taking place in their kid’s school. They beieive that if your child is transitioning at school and changing his pronouns, teachers and administrators have a right to keep that secret from you. They believe children are the property of the state. 

And there’s no indication that Gov. Glenn Youngkin is turning down hordes of felons who yearn to cast a ballot. In fact, Youngkin restored the rights of about 4,300 felons in his first year in office. That’s about as many restorations as Governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner granted during their ENTIRE four year terms.

It isn’t often the local newspaper provides two examples of “shiny object stupidity” in a single week. But this week, The Virginian-Pilot delivered.

Banks are failing, the U.S. is deep in a proxy war with Russia, inflation is out of control, the president of China is canoodling with the president of Russia and the White House turned Monday’s daily press availability over to celebrities. 

If my pal had waited a day to see the skin doctor she could have bared her pretty face. In a joint announcement, the region’s healthcare giants: Sentara, Bon Secours, Chesapeake Regional, Riverside and CHKD declared that beginning today face masks were no longer required in their facilities. Finally.

The Democrats are on their knees right now - as much as libs are ever on their knees, in prayer anyway - hoping for images of violent pro-Trump protests that they can splash across television ads during the 2024 presidential election campaign.

Don’t take the bait, Trump loyalists.

Far be it from me to throw cold water all over your St. Paddy’s Day plans, but if you’re planning to get drunk or gorge on corned beef and cabbage today your American is showing.
