Never was the left’s affection for criminals more apparent than in the spring of 2020 when Virginia’s Parole Board, under the leadership of self-confessed “bleeding heart” Adrianne Bennett, went on a madcap freeing spree.

Surely by now rumors of a gun on campus are taken seriously at most schools. Why would any Newport News school official gamble that rumors were false?

There seems to be a top-down tolerance of disruptive and even violent behavior in Newport News schools.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned living in the South it’s that ancestry matters. No one is prouder than a Southerner with a Civil War general, a former governor or a Miss Virginia on his or her family tree.

It was a shooting so audacious and vicious, by such a young perpetrator, that it made international headlines.

Youngkin is worried - as we all should be - about Chinese worming its way into ownership of American farmland and industry. Particularly in states, such as Virginia, with a large military presence.

Bear in mind, according to the Census Bureau, the median family income in 1972 was just over $11,000.

Ironic, isn’t it, that one year after Virginia voters replaced all three top Democrats in Richmond with pro-parental rights Republicans, the left continues to push its anti-family agenda.

“When someone is trying to kill you or someone else, it is not as easy as Roy Roger’s shooting the bad guy in the wrist causing him to drop his gun,” Brian Luciano, president of the Virginia Beach Police Benevolent Association. 

I keep waiting for a bold member of the press corps to stop giving Joe Biden a tongue bath long enough to ask two questions:

“Mr. President, how many grandchildren do you have?”

“Have you met all of them?”

Not to worry, Biden said yesterday, those classified documents that should have been in the National Archives, were perfectly safe. Right next to the left front tire of his Corvette, which he really cares about and keeps in a LOCKED garage. And everyone knows garage doors are Kryptonite to foreign spies.

Since when is the role of government to tell the American people what sort of cooktop they can use in the privacy of their own home?

Democrats in the State Senate are once again trying to circumvent Virginia’s “no parole” law.  It makes them sad to know that violent criminals now serve almost every day of their sentences.

“ No fair,” they cry.

We need to adjust our thinking about obesity. Here’s an idea: Let’s worry less about fat-shaming and more about spreading the falsehood that you can be healthy at any weight.
