In Virginia, teachers were the first in line to get vaccinated. They leapfrogged senior citizens and cancer patients to get their shots. The risk of a teacher catching the virus from a child is minuscule.

The science was clear a full year ago that children were at very little risk of contracting or spreading the Covid-19 virus. DeSantis was one of the first governors to boldly act on that data.

One by one friends have returned from Florida vacays this winter with more than just a tan. They’re full of intoxicating stories about what it feels like to shop without a mask or have a drink in a crowded bar.
Yet surely, if VMI was still venerating statues in 1980 for the purpose of “terrorizing and intimidating” black Virginians, even the oblivious Northam would have noticed. Clearly, that was not the case.
