A Jury Full Of Crazy Women
Comedian Dennis Miller once joked that; “If you ever get charged with a crime, your fate will be in the hands of twelve people who were too dumb to get out of jury duty.”
As a former newspaper reporter who covered courts for several years, I never would have agreed with Miller.
Until this week, that is.
In the days since the Lindsay Clancy trial ended in a mistrial, several of the jurors have been lapping up their 15 minutes of fame by blabbing to the cameras, showing off their abrasive idiocy.
Now we can see that the jury was hopelessly tainted from the start. One of the jurors was a Karen Read fan. (Read was acquitted of killing her boyfriend, Boston police officers John O’Keefe in 2022.)A quick perusal of this woman’s social media posts would have revealed that and rendered her unfit to serve. And then there were the nurses. In a case where a nurse was accused of strangling her three children, allowing THREE nurses on the jury was a huge mistake. Not only because they might sympathize with the killer, but because they would be tempted to offer their own “expert” testimony behind closed doors during deliberations.
That’s exactly what they did as they joined the rest of the women in browbeating the lone holdout who wanted Clancy held criminally responsible for the murders. At times their insane shrieking wa so loud that they could be heard outside of the jury room.
Jurors are instructed - over and over - to consider only evidence presented during the case. Nurses - who didn’t go to medical school and can’t write prescriptions - had no business interpreting medical evidence to a recalcitrant juror in a way that they believed would lead him to a not guilty verdict.
Beyond that, the three harridans who went on TV presented as obnoxious, pushy females who hate men. Correction: They clearly hate men who refuse to obey them. They also hated the prosecutors because they showed no compassion for the killer they were trying to put behind bars.
Sheesh.
Days after the trial ended, they were still fuming.
Did this obnoxious loon even hear herself?
“He would not interact with us... He had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children."
I’ve got news for the talkative jurors, MOST normal people can’t get beyond the fact that Clancy strangled her own babies. And we know damn well that had a man, suffering from PTSD or schizophrenia, killed his kids, these man-hating morons would have happily sentenced him to life in prison.
Thank God for the lone, strong man on the jury. Without him, Lindsay Clancy may have been found not guilty and there would be no hope of justice for the three precious children she killed.
One thing’s certain, Clancy was definitely judged by a jury of her peers: Crazy women.
