Contempt Of Congress: Too Good For Fauci
He had it coming.
Anthony Fauci, that is.
The man who contributed to the development of the covid-19 pandemic through clandestine gain-of-function research in China and repeatedly exaggerated the lethality of the disease before inventing sadistic mitigation measures with no basis in science was found in contempt of Congress yesterday by the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
This came after Fauci pleaded the 5th more than 100 times during a hearing last week that attempted to reconcile what was discovered in his daily journals with the dissembling he did in public.
Fauci, of course, has a presidential pardon for all of the crimes he committed back to 2010.
Why not just fess up and tell the truth for a change? It might be good for his soul.
What’s truly discouraging is that yesterday’s vote was along party lines. Not a single Democrat believes Fauci should be forced to explain his inexplicable lies that blew up the American economy, threw people out of work, closed schools and churches and forced families to watch helplessly as the infirm and elderly spent their final days in solitary confinement.
They stubbornly support the man who ushered in some of the most egregious violation of civil rights in American history. They refuse to engage in self-reflection and admit that the measures governors imposed on their citizens were wrong, dangerous and the result of Fauci’s daily dissembling.
Here’s Dick Durbin, boo-hooing for the megalomaniac doctor.
Durbin couldn’t be more wrong.
WE deserved better. American children deserved better.
Not only does Fauci deserve everything that Congress can throw at him, but he ought to be in prison for crimes against humanity.
He’ll never see the inside of a cell, so what needs to happen to this pathetic 85-year-old narcissist is that he is bombarded with subpeona after subpeana that dog him right to the gates of Hell.
He should spend his last days in his attorney’s offices, buried in civil lawsuits. And he should spend every cent of his ill-gotten gains on legal fees. He should watch as the money he won from prizes that federal workers pursued at his behest while the pandemic raged evaporates.
Fauci should die broke and disgraced.
And America must make sure that unrepentant Democrats never again gain control of the federal government. They learned nothing from the lessons of covid. They would do it all over again, exalting a man like Fauci who worked tirelessly to frighten the populace into obedience to government.
Covid was a warning. Woe to America if we don’t heed its lessons.
