Mamdani’s New York: Islamic Bomb Throwers On The Streets
A month or so ago I was having dinner with my Democrat girlfriends - yes, I socialize with those on the left - when the topic of New York City came up.
I declared that there was no way I’d visit New York now that Zohran Mamdani was mayor. (Not that I’ve been to NYC in decades, anyway.) I wouldn’t spend a nickel in that city, I told them, In fact, I will watch, bemused, while this once-great metropolis rots.
‘Oh, please,” one of my pals responded. “Give him a chance.”
If anyone was giving this left-wing loon a chance, surely they’re done with him now. Not only did he spend the weekend defending his unhinged wife, who apparently “liked” social media posts about Jewish women being raped on October 7th - “she’s not a public figure” hizzoner protested, but he blamed an apparent jihadi attack on conservatives.
(Anyone else remember the left demanding Justice Alito’s head after his wife flew an inverted American flag at their house in response to depraved neighbors who pounded a “Fuck Trump” sign at a school bus stop and another neighbor called Mrs. Scalia the “c” word?)
Different rules for Republicans.
Problem with Mamdani’s version of a bomb-throwing event is that he’s contradicted by video. A small group of protesters was outside the mayor’s residence - Gracie Mansion - on Saturday when two terrorists approached the group and tossed an incendiary device into the crowd and dropped another.
The IED was an anti-personnel bomb, loaded with shrapnel and nails, and may have been packed with TATP, a highly volatile explosive.
The demonstrators were calling for the mayor to “Stop the Islamic takeover of New York City” and to halt public Islamic prayers.
The bomb throwers were radical Muslims. Ironic, no?
The mayor is a Muslim and the Islamic community has become highly visible since his inauguration.
So on Sunday, the mayor didn’t express horror that two of his fellow Muslims attempted to kill and main a crowd of Americans who were peacefully protesting. Instead, he blamed the organizers of the protests, whom he accused of being white supremacists.
On Sunday, NYPD were investigating what appeared to be a car bomb on the street not far from Saturday’s terror attack.
The two jihadis are reportedly in federal custody, so there is no chance Mamdani’s administration with get them back on the streets.
We all know that Democrats have a soft spot for criminals, but terrorists tossing bombs on New York sidewalks should be enough to wake up even the most devout Trump-hater in the Senate and have them vote to restore funds to our beleaguered and working-without-pay Department of Homeland Security.
We know the Biden administration allowed at least 800 Iranian terror suspects into the country. We need to be on high alert. We need DHS now more than ever.
