Waiting In An Endless TSA Line? Thank A Democrat.
Air travel has been unpleasant for years: cramped seats, delays, surly passengers and sky-high airfares. And no snacks.
Now this:
Thanks to Senate Democrats, who are fighting to keep illegal aliens in the country, the flying public must now endure hours waiting to pass through security at many major airports. Yep, the same crowd that merrily looked away as Joe Biden allowed 15 million illegals into the country are having a hissy fit now that Trump is trying to get these aliens out.
This partial government shutdown over funding for the Department of Homeland Security, including TSA, began on Valentine’s Day.
Now in its 5th week, America’s roughly 50,000 front-line agents are working without pay. These are not federal high-rollers. Starting salary for a TSA agent is $34,500 with experienced agents earning between $60,000 and $75,000.
Yes, the agents will get back pay once Democrats come to their senses. Until then, many are calling in sick while they presumably pick up part-time or gig work to pay their bills.
This shutdown is a sign of the absolute contempt the left has for Americans: They’re willing to snarl air travel, inconvenience millions of passengers, cost private industry untold billions in lost revenue all to protect aliens who entered the country illegally and refuse to leave.
People like Jose Medina-Medina of Venezuela.
This 25-year-old was caught entering the country in May of 2023 but was released by the Biden administration. One month later, this illegal alien was arrested and charged with shoplifting.
Was he deported? Of course not. Shoplifting is only a misdemeanor. Who amongst us hasn’t done a little shoplifting? (Me, actually. And probably you.)
According to public safety news outlet, CWB Chicago, “Court records show he (Medina-Medina) was arrested in mid-June 2023 for allegedly shoplifting merchandise worth $132 from the Macy’s at 111 North State Street in the Loop. Arrest records show he listed 1222 West Touhy Avenue in Rogers Park as his home address at the time — the address of Leone Beach Park, where the fieldhouse had been converted into a migrant shelter by City Hall. Leone Beach Park forms the north end of Loyola Beach.
“According to court records, he was released from custody ‘by rule of the court,’ a cash bail-era procedure by which people charged with non-violent crimes were released on their own recognizance. He never showed up for court again, records show. After his first failure to appear in July 2023, Judge Peter Gonzalez granted a 30-day continuance. When a Macy’s representative appeared for that date, and the man once again failed to appear, Gonzalez issued an arrest warrant requiring a $50 deposit to be released from jail. He was never caught.”

According to Chicago police, early last Thursday morning, a group of Loyola University students went out to the Loyola Beach Pier to see the Northern Lights.
Medina-Medina sprung out of the shadows, wearing a ski mask and shot 18-year-old Loyola student Sheridan Gorman. She died at the scene. It appears the attack was unprovoked.
If ICE had tried to nab this piece of human garbage prior to the shooting, to deport him to either Venezuela or to a third country, Gov. J.B. Pritzker would have fought the feds to keep him in the sanctuary state of Illinois and left-wing demonstrators would have protested his deportation.
Now a bright and cherished young woman is dead. Biden, former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Pritzker all have blood on their hands. Sheridan Gorman’s blood.
It was in reaction to the Trump administration’s deportation sweeps that Democrats began trying to demonize DHS. They became so deranged in their opposition to the Trump administration’s determination to deport as many illegals as possible that they refused to fund the agency.
Hope for air travelers arrived over the weekend when Elon Musk offered to end the airport chaos by paying the salaries of TSA agents until the shutdown ends. Democrats were incensed. The same leftists who scream about the rich not paying their fair share of taxes now object to the world’s richest man lending a hand to hurting workers.
President Trump announced that beginning today, ICE agents would be sent to major airports to aid TSA. Oh, and also to look for and deport illegals.
Question is, will public disgust over the airport mayhem may be enough to finally force Democrats to fund the critically needed Department of Homeland Security?
