Looks like at least one medical organization has come to its senses. Amazing the effect a multi-million dollar malpractice verdict can have on the conscience, no?
On Tuesday the American Society of Plastic Surgeons came out against the genital mutilation of minors and even weighed in on the promiscuous use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for confused youngsters.
What took them so long? Anyone with an ounce of common sense knew this wasn’t medicine. These have always been Frankenstein-level atrocities.
I suspect it had something to do with what happened in a New York courtroom this week where a 22-year-old girl who underwent a double mastectomy at age 16 successfully sued the New York surgeon and therapist who recommended that she be carved up and transitioned.
A jury awarded her $2 million.
It should have been 100 times that. But it’s a start, with many more cases to come.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) released a position statement saying that the available evidence did not support genital procedures or removing the breasts of young girls who identify as boys. The society also said there was “insufficient” support for placing kids on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, reports The Daily Wire.
“In light of recent publications reporting very low/low certainty of evidence regarding mental health outcomes, along with emerging concerns about potential long-term harms and the irreversible nature of surgical interventions in a developmentally vulnerable population, ASPS concludes there is insufficient evidence demonstrating a favorable risk-benefit ratio for the pathway of gender-related endocrine and surgical interventions in children and adolescents,” the society said in its position statement. “ASPS recommends that surgeons delay gender-related breast/chest, genital, and facial surgery until a patient is at least 19 years old.”
In recent years a social contagion has caught on among American kids causing them to believe the lie that they can change their sex. They can’t of course. All they can do is mutilate their young bodies to grotesquely resemble the other sex.
Doctors and the pharmaceutical industry have eagerly embraced transing the kids. They get parents to acquiesce by threatening that their child is likely to commit suicide if the youngster isn’t permitted to undergo irreversible surgeries and chemical sterilization.
There’s a word for this: Blackmail.
Best of all, for Big Pharma, a youngster who transitions instantly becomes a life-long pharmaceutical customer. Gotta keep taking those hormones or everything falls apart.

Over the past decade, once-reputable medical centers unquestioningly embraced the “gender-affirming” care label, sometimes performing surgeries on children with precious little screening.
While some states have outlawed the barbaric procedures, many others - California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Vermont, and Washington - have declared themselves gender-affirming care sanctuaries.
The only way these horrific procedures will stop in the insane states is if the malpractice insurance companies refuse to insure docs mutilating kids.
