Charlotte, NC: Murder On A Train

Charlotte, NC: Murder On A Train

Vi Lyles, the Democrat mayor of Charlotte, NC doesn’t want you to see this. In fact, she believes it’s my job to help her keep this out of the news. To help her promote the lie that Charlotte is a safe city.

Once the video footage from the August 22 murder on a light rail car went public, Mayor Vi Lyles realized she had to do something. So she issued a statement.

In it, she didn’t speak about justice for the dead woman, Iryna Zarutska. She didn’t ask how a career criminal with fourteen arrests was free. She didn’t lament the fact that it isn’t safe to ride Charlotte’s light rail.

Instead, she thanked the legacy media for keeping the incriminating video under wraps.

“The video of the heartbreaking attack that took Iryna Zarutska’s life is now public. I want to thank our media partners and community members who have chosen not to repost or share the footage out of respect for Iryna’s family.”

Media PARTNERS? The media should never partner with government.

Sorry, Vi, if members of the alternative media didn’t share this gruesome scene, no one in America will know what your soft-on-crime-no-cash-bail policies mean to law-abiding people.

The woman stabbed to death came to the U.S. three years ago as a Ukrainian refugee, desperate to escape the carnage in Ukraine. She worked in a pizza place. At the end of her shift she boarded a train where her life was brutally snuffed out by a career criminal with 14 prior arrests.

Irina was minding her own business when a murderous psycho in the seat behind her opened his folding knife and stabbed her multiple times.

The killer had a criminal record dating back to 2011. He’d been convicted of robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary, larceny and assault. At the time of the murder he had an open case for assaulting a female victim and was out of custody, pending a court-ordered forensic evaluation.

To those who want to be able to use Charlotte’s public transportation without being stabbed to death, no worries. Who don’t want to sit in front of a violent criminal.

Mayor Vi is on it.

She’s been THINKING about safety. After, all, isn’t that what’s really important?

"I've been thinking hard about what safety really looks like in our city. I remain committed to doing all we can to protect our residents and ensure Charlotte is a place where everyone feels safe."

She also believes “we can’t arrest our way out of these issues.”

Wait. What? Of course we can, provided the arrests end in incarceration.

Like all blue cities, Charlotte appears to be an urban center where soft-hearted prosecutors and judges refuse to lock up dangerous criminals. This homicidal maniac was released from his last arrest on a written promise to appear in court. He was supposed to have a mental evaluation in July but that never happened.

News flash, Mayor: Americans are fed up with crime. They’re fed up with politicians who praise the media for helping them cover up the danger. Most of all they’re fed up with the dishonest corporate media that provided non-stop coverage of George Floyd but ignores other, far more horrendous, slayings.

Ms. Zrutska’s mistake? Thinking Charlotte, NC would be safer than Kiev. Turned out to be a fatal mistake.
