Being Normal Doesn’t Make You A Fascist
This is going to be short. It’s early Sunday morning and I’m writing from a small town in Mississippi where I stay when I am lucky enough to get to Ole Miss football games.
These are my thoughts on a sunny September morning before I head to church and then home:
People who hold normal opinions - or those that were normal until America went woke about 15 years ago - are not fascists.
Holding traditional values is not fascist.
Believing that countries should have borders and control who crosses them is not fascist.
Wanting to keep more of what you earn is not fascist.
Patriotism is not fascist.
Love of God is not fascist.
A belief in American exceptionalism is not fascist.
Wanting to protect unborn children is not fascist.
Wanting to punish criminals is not fascist.
Supporting cash bail is not fascist.
Cheering traditional families is not fascist.
Wanting to protect children from books that promote the LGBTQ agenda is not fascist.
Keeping drag queens away from kids is not fascist.
Telling teachers to keep their far-left ideology and their pride flags out of classrooms is not fascist.
Celebrating motherhood is not fascist.
Voting for Donald Trump doesn’t make you a fascist.
Charlie Kirk was not a fascist.
As I wrote last week, all of his beliefs were mainstream until about 15 years ago.
We know why Charlie Kirk was assassinated. His bedrock beliefs threatened the far left. He said that men can’t become women and of course, they can’t. He was winning the hearts and minds of young people.
They called him a fascist for speaking simple truths.
Want to know why Charlie was murdered? Read the messages on the bullet casings.
Like this one: “Hey fascist! Catch.”
I wonder where the assassin got the idea that this conservative, Christian family man was part of a fascist movement?
And please, don’t start with fiction being pushed by the left that Kirk’s alleged killer was conservative. Or start bloviating about how “both sides” are to blame.
One side did this. Only one side is celebrating the assassination.
The killer may have been reared in a normal home, but he was radicalized. He was in a relationship with a trans person. A man pretending to be a woman. He reportedly had an affinity for the freakish furry subculture. No group has been more vicious toward Kirk than the gender-bending crowd.
In fact, Charlie - whose weapon of choice was a sharp mind - was answering a question about trans violence when he was shot to death.
We’ll learn more about the assassin in the days to come.
Buckle up.
