Tulsi Detonates An Intelligence Bomb: Legacy Media Shrugs.

Tulsi Detonates An Intelligence Bomb: Legacy Media Shrugs.

Here we go. Yet ANOTHER reason you don’t hate the corporate media enough.

On Friday, Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, dropped an intelligence bombshell. She declassified more than 100 documents showing that in the fall of 2016, after Donald Trump was elected and before he took office, the Obama administration was briefed by intelligence experts that not only didn’t the Russians interfere in the 2016 presidential elections, but that they had little interest in doing so.

What did Obama do with this information? Buried it and doubled down promoting  “manufactured” evidence that the Russians helped get Trump elected.

This was what many are calling the beginning of a “soft coup” against Trump. The Obama administration - at the behest of the Hillary Clinton campaign - used the manufactured Steele Dossier to try to keep Trump from being elected. When that failed, they amplified the false charges to keep Trump from being inaugurated. After Trump was in the White House, Obama allies continued to lie bout Russia to cripple Trump’s ability to govern.

You’d think this trove of documents would get the attention of the corporate media. You would be wrong.

In a Saturday story, The New York Times immediately debunked Gabbard’s findings and so did The Wall Street Journal. I can’t find a single story on the declassified documents anywhere in The Washington Post. Maybe I missed it.

From Catherine Herridge, an independent investigative journalist who was chief intelligence correspondent for CBS News until 2024:

Newly declassified records from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard are additional, compelling evidence that the 2016 Russia Collusion narrative was not rooted in credible intelligence reporting, but manufactured to fit a preferred political narrative.

Gabbard has taken the rare and transparent step of declassifying a December 2016 draft of the President’s Daily Brief or PDB.

This highly classified record, which is a daily national security analysis for the President, assessed that “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against (election) infrastructure.”

But after push back from the FBI, then led by James Comey, the PDB was spiked “based on new guidance.”

After a White House Principals meeting, a new intelligence assessment was commissioned, and media leaks followed, reinforcing a new narrative that “Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system.”

Read those declassified documents for yourself here.

Herridge helpfully added a timeline to her piece:

December 8, 2016

Draft PDB (Presidential Daily Brief) - Russia “did not impact US election results”

Hours later, FBI withdraws support

PDB is killed “based on new guidance”

December 9, 2016 Obama White House Gathers Top Cabinet Officials including Clapper, Brennan, Susan Rice, Andrew McCabe and others.

New Intelligence Assessment is commissioned

January 6, 2017 New Intel Assessment : Russia interfered to help Trump

Obama never changed his messaging, however. Almost as if the PDB never existed.

Let’s jump to July 2025, shall we?

Senator Mark Warner, whose leaked text messages in 2018 showed him trying to surreptitiously contact Christopher Steele through a lobbyist, who once was accused of dangling a federal judgeship in an act of profound Virginia political hackery, who promised to serve just two terms in office but is about to ask voters for a 4th term, continued to double down on the Russian interference hoax on X, in his usual tedious manner.

I’m not linking to his drivel today.

Would it kill the senator to act with a smidgen of humility - just once - and say that the new information is at least “concerning” and perhaps he and other Trump haters were “misled?”

Not in Warner’s wheelhouse.

Obama knew the Russian accusations were a total fabrication. So did Hillary Clinton, John Brennan and Jim Clapper. They pushed it anyway.

What comes next? Gabbard says more information is about to be released and that indictments should follow.

That decision rests with Attorney General Pam Bondi, however.

America is waiting for the perp walks. And the truth.
