Gavin Newsom Sees The Humor In Transing Kids
I used to worry about Gavin Newsom.
Hey, he’s Hollywood handsome, has a winning smile and is charming, in that unctuous Democrat way.
He’s far more electable than screeching Elizabeth Warren or Amy Klobacher.
He can act. Boy, can he act. He can make himself sound so reasonable and moderate.
Until you actually listen to him and try to decipher what he said.
Several months ago the governor had Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk his podcast. Kirk asked him about boys playing girls sports and Newsom agreed that it was “deeply unfair”.
Yet he’s done absolutely nothing to protect female athletes in his state. In fact, the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has filed suit against California for failing to abide by Title IX rules that prohibit males from girls sports. You can read that suit here.
Deeply unfair, but hey, why rock the boat.
This week - in a sweep through the South on his early presidential campaign - Newsom spent four hours with conservative podcaster Shawn Ryan in Tennessee. Ryan is a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor. At the start of the show, Ryan presented Newsom with his first gun, an Sig Sauer P365 XMACRO pistol. Newsom pretended to happy about the gift - “I’m not anti-gun” - but left it behind in Tennessee. (His aides said it will follow him to California where it has to be registered. Sure it will.)
The most telling part of the long-form interview was when Ryan asked Newsom if eight was old enough for a child to begin treatment to change gender, given that California is a sanctuary state for minors seeking gender reassignment treatment. Newsom signed that abomination of a sanctuary law in 2022.
Get a load of Newsom’s answer and listen closely to what he says:
He said nothing. Newsom just served up a word salad that would make Kamala blush. He started off saying that his own child is nine, threw in a “come on man” a la Joe Biden then pivoted off to gay marriage and trans gibberish.
Newsom never answered the question.
I’ll answer it. Hell, yes, eight is too young. So is 17. For God’s sake, we need to protect minors from the groomers and freaks who want to poison their impressionable minds with trans nonsense.
When Ryan confronted the governor with the fact that the law he signed could allow the state to come in and take a child away from parents if they didn’t support gender transition, Newsom treated it like a joke:
Nuanced language? Seriously?
These are KIDS we’re talking about. Kids who’ve been lied to by their parents, doctors, teachers or the media or whomever it was who told them that humans can change their sex. These kids are having permanent medical procedures performed on them that range from castration, delayed puberty to outright mutilation.
But Newsom sees the humor in it.
Newsom is a dangerous man in a pretty package. He’s been campaigning for at least a year. Get ready.
