Hey, Teachers, Leave The Kids Alone
They always go too far.
The radical left saw widespread acceptance of gay rights - which nearly everyone embraces - as a chance to try to push THEIR agenda:
Grooming the children.
Despite their denials the far-left was always coming for the children. From drag queen story hours to minor attracted persons.
This has nothing to do with gay rights. It’s not even the logical extension of such long-overdue recognition.
Their perverse goals were fully on display yesterday during oral arguments before the Supreme Court in the case styled Mahmoud v Taylor, a landmark parental rights case out of Montgomery County, Md. Christian, Muslim and Jewish parents went to court to assert their rights to absent their very young kids from classes where their religious beliefs are being undermined.
Not only does this, the largest public school division in the country, have story books about drag queens, gay relationships and transgenderism for children as young as kindergarten, but the children are compelled to attend classes when these books are being read aloud.
Kids First, the parents group that brought the suit, complained in legal filings that the books their children are being forced to consume “promote one-sided transgender ideology, encourage gender transitioning and focus excessively on romantic infatuation.”
Why in the world is this stuff in the schools to begin with? Test scores in Montgomery County have plummeted as they have nearly everywhere in the U.S. since the insane covid school closures. Teach academics. Leave sex education to parents.
Until 2023 parents could opt their children out of classes that featured “Pride Puppy” “Uncle Bobby’s Wedding” and “Born Ready, The True Story of a Boy Named Penelope.” The school board abolished that policy two years ago - when too many families opted out - forcing all children to be part of classes where gay relationships and transgenderism were being celebrated.
Why wouldn’t the schools allow parents to introduce their children to such topics in their own time, in their own way?
Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who lives in Montgomery county but does not send his children to public school, seemed baffled by the school board’s intransigence in not allowing parents to opt out.
“I guess I’m surprised, given that this is, you know, this is the hill we’re going to die on, in terms of not respecting religious liberty,” Justice Kavanaugh said.
Even leftist Justice Elena Kagan seemed to acknowledge that parents wouldn’t have to be religious to be troubled by the content of the books.
“I suspect there are a lot of nonreligious parents who weren’t all that thrilled about this,” she said. “And then you, you know, add in religion and, and that’s, you know, even more serious.”
Not to worry, chances are she’ll come down on the side of forced consumption.
Predictably, Justice Sonia Sotomayor came down on the side of school officials who are fighting for their rights to to require LGBTQ material for Montgomery County’s youngest children.
“The mere exposure to things that you object to is not coercion,” she sniffed.
News flash, Justice: Normal people don’t want their very young children to even know about the mental illness known as transgenderism let alone have it presented to them as something to accept. As far as homosexuality, that’s a topic that parents need to address in the home, in ways that align with their beliefs.
Yet in Montgomery county your child WILL learn that there’s a chance he or she was born in the wrong body and that it’s perfectly normal for a child to trans.
These ultra-left school officials are deliberately setting out to destroy the innocence of children by brainwashing them with materials that normalize sexual behavior that many parents find sinful or wrong.
This is part of much bigger, absolutely evil left-wing agenda involving children.
ODU and Walker parted ways, but make no mistake, in addition to convincing kids that they may be trans, there are also weirdos trying to normalize pedophilia.
Question is, why are these radicals so determined to spread their gospel to the kids? It’s sick.
Most observers agree, it appears the Supreme Court majority will side with the parents and the school division will be forced to allow parents to opt their kids out of these classes.
