Minnesota’s Breathtaking Fraud
Americans are suckers.
That’s my takeaway from the metastatic Minnesota fraud scandal. Some reports now claim that Somali fraudsters may have stolen BILLIONS - plural - in taxpayer dollars, spending it on fancy cars, houses and sending it back to that godforsaken country they fled.
President Trump claims that 88% of Somali immigrants receive some type of public assistance.
The New York Times and other legacy media outlets may have moved on, but the breadth of the Minnesota thievery just keeps growing.
On Sunday, the much-maligned Dr. Mehmet Oz summarized the scheming for those of us without felonious imaginations.
Oz explains that Somali fraudsters started small when Minnesota Medicaid launched new programs. They became emboldened by the lack of oversight and audaciously went bigger, using tax dollars to buy luxury cars and homes and to pay kickbacks to Somali parents who happily enrolled their healthy kids in phony autism centers.
Walz didn’t put a stop to it, Oz says, because naturalized Somalis are a massive voting bloc who always cast their ballots for the party of giveaways: Democrat.
Under Oz’s direction, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services is cracking down and requiring accountability.
Here’s what most hard-working Americans want:
We want our money back.
We want everyone in Minnesota state government who was complicit or negligent investigated and disciplined.
We want perp walks, handcuffs, convictions and prison sentences
We want INS and the DOJ to investigate all suspected Somali citizens with the goal of denaturalizing and deporting any that were even peripherally involved in scamming the system.
Many of us also want an indefinite halt to Somali immigration.
Sound heartless? It’s our country. We don’t need more grifters.
It’s about time we all remembered that the U.S. has laws that an overwrought Emma Lazarus poem is NOT American policy.
