Tim Walz And The Country’s Biggest Pandemic Fraud

Tim Walz And The Country’s Biggest Pandemic Fraud

America, we REALLY dodged a bullet in the 2024 election.

Not only did we keep a day-drinking Kamala out of the White House, but her sidekick, Tampon Tim, too. Turns out he isn’t just a prancing nebbish. It appears he was an accomplice to massive fraud in his own state.

You know a Democrat is in trouble when The New York Times runs a story with this headline: “How Fraud Swamped Minnesota’s Social Services System on Tim Walz’s Watch.”

If you don’t have a subscription to The Times, here’s a summary:

More than a billion dollars meant to feed children and help the poor during the covid epidemic were embezzled by various “charitable” groups being run by Somalis. The Somali population of Minnesota is about 80,000. Migrants have ben sending back so much money that they essentially prop up the economy of that failed country - with our tax dollars.

And the feds are now trying to find out just how much of that stolen money wound up in the hands of Al-Shabaab, a Somali terrorist organization.

Over the last five years, law enforcement officials say, fraud took root in pockets of Minnesota’s Somali diaspora as scores of individuals made small fortunes by setting up companies that billed state agencies for millions of dollars’ worth of social services that were never provided.

Gov. Tim Walz, afraid to offend this immigrant population, which appears to be rife with scammers, essentially ignored the embezzlement until hundreds of millions went missing.

Some of us sounded the alarm about fraud during the pandemic when the government was printing money and tossing it indiscriminately to the deserving and undeserving alike. The Times is finally admitting that there was “rampant theft” during the reckless Biden administration. All of the embezzlement and theft was paid for by ordinary, decent Americans who worked while others sat home, scheming.

Federal prosecutors say that 59 people have been convicted in those schemes so far, and that more than $1 billion in taxpayers’ money has been stolen in three plots they are investigating. That is more than Minnesota spends annually to run its Department of Corrections. Minnesota’s fraud scandal stood out even in the context of rampant theft during the pandemic, when Americans stole tens of billions through unemployment benefits, business loans and other forms of aid, according to federal auditors.

Somalis, it turns out, were quite skilled at milking the system.

In (one)program, aimed to provide therapy for autistic children, prosecutors said providers recruited children in Minneapolis’s Somali community, falsely certifying them as qualifying for autism treatment and paying their parents kickbacks for their cooperation.

Prosecutors have so far charged one provider, Asha Farhan Hassan, 29, with wire fraud. They say she and business partners stole $14 million.

This fraud is so breathtaking in Minnesota that President Trump called the state a “hub of money laundering” and has threatened to yank the immigration status of Somalis in the Gopher State.

After an Afghani immigrant shot and killed one National Guardsman and critically injured another, the president ordered that Somali green cards and green cards issued to migrants from 18 other countries, be scrutinized and likely revoked.

During his Thursday announcement, the president mentioned the situation in Minnesota:

“Hundreds of thousands of Somalians [sic] are ripping off our country and ripping apart that once great state," Mr. Trump said.

Trump threatened to revoke the temporary protected status of all Somalis in Minnesota and said he will “pause” migration from all Third Wold countries.

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

It’s past time. Do it, Mr. President.
