SNAP Recipients Can Do Their Own Eyebrows.
Looks like the Democrats caved. Finally.
Or at least 9 of them came to their senses regarding the damaging government shutdown that is in its 40th day.
They got nothing. The shutdown was for nothing. Yet it did make sure that a seething bloc of Virginia federal workers headed to the polls last Tuesday in Virginia and elected the most left-wing slate in the commonwealth’s history.
It’s no coincidence that five days after federal workers stormed the polls and sent far-left wokesters to Richmond, the shutdown was grinding to a halt.
Late Sunday night, vote were taken and arms were twisted as Democrat Senators decided to reopen the federal government.Among them was Sen. Tim Kaine.
He claimed that he’d been “too focused” on the Virginia elections to end the shutdown earlier.
Someone tell the senator that he isn’t paid to campaign in state elections. He’s in Washington to do a job in Congress.
Prior to Sunday Dems said they’d support reopening the government only if Republicans would agree to keep subsidies on Obamacare premiums for one more year.
A very clever form of extortion.
They wanted to kick the healthcare can down the road until the eve of the midterms and then cast Republicans as the party of higher medical costs.
That chicanery would allow Dems to escape blame for the debacle of Obamacare, which resulted in higher costs for most Americans. Those costs were masked by government subsidies that are scheduled to run out.
Beyond that, SNAP benefits have run out in many states. Democrats were starving Americans to make political points. Absolutely obscene.
Despite the fact that this program is rife with fraud and waste many Americans genuinely rely on food stamps to feed their families.
The Trump administration estimates that 1.4 million illegal aliens receive SNAP benefits. Once the government fully reopens SNAP recipients should continue to receive benefits for a brief period of time, just long enough for everyone on the program to reapply.
Time to get the illegals and other grifters off the program.

Boo hoo. Eyebrow techs are losing their jobs because women on SNAP now have to buy their own food? Is she serious?
No one on SNAP should be getting their brows done. Lashes and manicures should be DIY at home. Anyone who can afford these luxuries can feed their families.
Many people living in what passes for “poverty” in America actually enjoy untold luxuries. While they’re accepting handouts from taxpayers, SNAP recipients shouldn’t be frequenting Starbucks or any fast food places. They shouldn’t have 70-inch TVs or carry designer bags. They also shouldn’t be filling their grocery carts with Doritos and sodas.
Whatever happened to shame? Some of these recipients seem to believe they’re entitled to their neighbor’s money via government largesse.
Illegals should not only be removed from the SNAP and medicaid rolls. These freeloaders need to be deported.
We should have nothing but contempt for politicians who slurped up their own paychecks while the poor went without food. I’m looking at Tim Kaine and his sidekick, Mark Warner.
Virginia has a pair of senators who casually ignored the shutdown so they could campaign for their left-wing pals at home.
Shame on both of them.
