Jay Jones Not Only Wanted His Political Foes Dead, He Was OK With Cops Taking A Few Bullets Too Says Former Colleague

Jay Jones Not Only Wanted His Political Foes Dead, He Was OK With Cops Taking A Few Bullets Too Says Former Colleague

If Jay Jones is a friend of yours. If you support him despite his grotesque desire to kill his political opponents and their children, don’t bother sending him campaign contributions.

Send him a fire extinguisher.

He’s going to need it to put out the fires exploding around his repulsive candidacy.

On October 1 we learned that Jones  cared nothing for safety on Virginia’s highways. He was clocked at 116 mph in a 70 zone on I-64 and found guilty of reckless driving.

To avoid a potential jail sentence of up to one year Jones was supposed to complete 1,000 hours of community service. Instead of working in a food pantry or picking up litter he volunteered at his own political action committee.

Turns out, the prosecutor in the case told Victoria Manning of Restoration News on Monday that Jones didn’t have permission to do political work.

What a weasel move.

If Jones loses the election to incumbent Jason Miyares - and he should - perhaps he’ll have time to do volunteer work that actually provides a service to the community.

Revelations about his reckless driving and favorable treatment by the courts was damaging.

But on Friday the political landscape got even hotter. That’s when we saw text messages between Jones and Del. Carrie Coyner. In those Jones fantasized about putting two bullets in the head of former House Speaker Todd Gilbert. He also wanted to kill Gilbert’s kids so his wife could cradle their dead bodies in her lap. The Gilberts, Jones said, were “breeding” little fascists.

Those demented texts gave voters a peek into the heart of Jay Jones. It’s a very dark place.

And the bad news just keeps coming.

According to The New York Post another fire erupted yesterday when Coyner said that Jones once told her that he wouldn’t mind if a few more cops were killed in the line of duty.

Coyner has come forward with new allegations against Jones, telling the Virginia Scope Monday that during a 2020 conversation about qualified immunity, she told Jones that without the legal protection, police officers would get killed.

“Well, maybe if a few of them died, that they would move on, not shooting people, not killing people,” Jones responded according to Coyner.

Jones denies saying that.

I don’t believe him and neither should you. Jones has done nothing to earn the trust of the public and he was ardently in favor of removing qualified immunity from Virginia law enforcement. When Jones pushed for the abolition of qualified immunity he was doing the bidding of left-wing trial lawyers who are itching to sue police officers and bankrupt their families.

By the end of the Monday and after the revelation that Jones allegedly believed a few dead cops would be good for his cause, the commonwealth’s police union, the Fraternal Order of Police, called for Jones to withdraw from the race.

Wait. There’s more. Looks like Jones may also have engaged in a material exaggeration about his legal experience.

Yep, his stint as a lawyer with the D.C.’s Attorney General’s office may have lasted just one month.

So far, no Virginia Democrats have told Jones publicly to drop out of the race.

That’s a sign of how much the craven Dems want power. Shame on the lot of them. No one fantasizing about murder should be Virginia’s top law enforcement officer.

It’s hard to see how a campaign slogan of “Agree with me or I’ll put two bullets in your head” is a winner.

Jones should drop out now and concede to Jason Miyares.

But he won’t. Jones will drag this out, new fires will likely break out and hopefully he’ll drag down his cowardly running mates with him.
