Virginia Dems: So Classy.

Virginia Dems: So Classy.

You could respect Virginia Democrats if they would just be honest.

Alas, it’s not in their nature and so we must endure endless gaslighting from the left as they breathlessly work to undo the constitutional amendment that the vast majority of Virginians voted for five years ago. You know, the measure that ended political gerrymandering and handed the responsibility of drawing congressional districts to a bipartisan commission.

Virginia has 11 congressional districts. Six are Democrat and five are Republican, an indication that in this closely divided commonwealth, the districts are fair.

As other states - without similar constitutional restrictions - rush to redraw congressional maps along political lines, Virginia’s Democratic leadership is frantically working to join in the gerrymandering frenzy while they control both chambers of the General Assembly.

All while pretending this is simply an exercise in democracy.

Fighting back? Not even close. What the Democrats are attempting to do is redraw districts so that Virginia’s Republican voters have almost no representation in Congress.

Get a load of what State Sen. Louise Lucas had to say about the matter on X:

At least she’s honest. Lucas’ goal is to rig the map so that Democrats control all but one congressional seat.

It’s a naked power grab and there is no way the governor or any ordinary Virginian can stop this chicanery.

Our best hope is that the courts agree with Attorney General Jason Miyares’ opinion that the goal of the special session is illegal.

Only the courts can save us now.

Oh, and Lucas - did I mention she’s the president pro tempore of the Senate? - had a reaction to Miyares’ opinion.

You can’t hide class.
