Yes, America. Illegals Did Receive Medicaid Under Biden.
Well, the partial government shutdown is in its second day and neither side has blinked.
Senate Democrats seem to have forgotten the old saying that “elections have consequences” and are determined to increase government spending on illegal aliens despite the results of last year’s presidential election.
Worse, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be driving the Democrat bus, with Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer standing on the curb. Odd, given that the House has already passed a clean continuing resolution that would keep government operating for seven more weeks and the ball is in the Senate’s court.
If Schumer and half a dozen semi-normal Democrats don’t wrench power away from the radicals in their party and join the majority in voting to open the government, the shutdown will last for months and Democrats will be blamed.
Especially Democrats like Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine of Virginia where thousands of federal workers and active duty military live. On October 15 troops will miss a paycheck. They have Kaine and Warner to blame for that.
Let’s distill this shutdown to what it’s all about: The GOP’s Big Beautiful Bill closed all of the loopholes Democrats used to give free healthcare to illegals.
Now the Democrat lie that illegals do not receive Medicaid has been blown apart. They covered illegals using two methods: By reclassifying illegals as parolees and by using state dollars to fund healthcare for those who don’t qualify under federal rules.
It was a double-edged scheme.

Here are a few facts the Democrats cannot deny: The Democrat proposal To reopen government would restore those who were wrongfully granted asylum and parole under Biden open borders police to receive Medicaid.
That must not happen.
Worse, it would require Medicaid to pay MORE for emergency care providers to illegals than it does for Americans.
That’s insane.
It’s worth noting that blue states have found creative ways to offer freebies to illegals. Here’s one: Federal dollars go to Democrat states for healthcare. Since money is fungible, the Dems then move state dollars over to fund illegals, which is made possible by federal dollars filling the gap where state dollars should be going.
In effect, federal dollars allow blue states to provide healthcare for illegals.
This sleight-of-hand ramped up during the Biden open border years.
Oh, and the Dems want to reinstate a special Obamacare subsidy for non-citizens. Low-income Americans citizens will not be eligible for this subsidy.

The DHS report… shows that 61,455 parolee visas expired from November 2024 to February 2025 alone, and that “under [Biden] DHS policies and practices, aliens could remain unlawfully in the United States after parole expiration without enforcement consequences…
The parole function is supposed to be used sparingly and on a case-by-case basis for things like “urgent humanitarian reasons or a significant public benefit” my colleague Brianna Lyman pointed out, and “is not intended to be used solely to avoid normal visa processing procedures and timelines, to bypass inadmissibility waiver processing, or to replace established refugee processing channels.”
However, the Biden administration decided to use the parole function as a loophole to import millions of illegals into the country, while also making them eligible for the very same free health care the Democrats have decided to shut down the government for.
They were eligible because, although still illegal aliens, the parole gave them “legal status” to be in the country temporarily, and therefore eligible to receive health benefits. However, in the “Big Beautiful Bill,” Republicans tightened eligibility requirements for those benefits, and Democrats are now demanding that provision be repealed using a government shutdown as the tool.
Look, if an illegal is involved in a car wreck and needs emergency care, they will be treated in a hospital just like any indigent American. Ultimately, the taxpayers pick up the tab for the uninsured. But allowing them to enroll in Medicaid was an underhanded move that cost taxpayers billions of dollars.
The Trump administration booted illegals off Medicaid, along with able-bodied Americans who refuse to work even part-time if they didn’t have children younger than 14 at home.
Americans voted for this, by the way.
The Democrats want to undo all that and also remove the $50 billion investment the Republican budget has set aside for rural healthcare.
Oh, and they want to give $500 million to NPR to continue its left-wing propaganda broadcasts.
Three words of advice for NPR: Sell more totes.
While the Democrats throw hissy fits and shake their tiny fists in the air because the majority refuses to reinstate their wasteful spending, America’s active duty military continue to serve, without receiving their pay.
