Graham Platner: Bad Polls, Not Rape Allegation Wrecked His Campaign.

Graham Platner: Bad Polls, Not Rape Allegation Wrecked His Campaign.

Looks like the guy with the Nazi tattoo just got a hard lesson in Democrat politics.

Here it is in a nutshell: As long as a candidate is leading in the polls a Democrat can do or say ANYTHING - sport a Nazi Death camp tattoo, wish death on an American soldier and masturbate in portable-potties - but blow a 14-point lead in the polls and your most fervent supporters will drop you in a ditch and kick dirt in your face.

Winning is everything.

Democrats didn’t care about Graham Platner’s totenkopf. They didn’t care about the allegations from a Republican woman that he sexually assaulted her. They didn’t care that he liked to masturbate in Porta-potties or used Planned Parenthood to get tested for STDs. They didn’t care about his weird sexting on Kik - the predator’s paradise. They were fine with his lies about why he enlisted in the Marine Corps, and they didn’t care that he was a communist. Shoot, they were fine knowing that he said he wanted to rape anyone who broke into his home, but not in a gay way.

Geezus.

But an accusation of rape from a Democrat woman? At the same time he was plummeting in the polls?

A convenient kiss of death for a Democrat. Bye, bye Nazi guy.

Don’t believe the claptrap from Democrats about believing all women or Platner crossing a line. Polls were showing that Platner was going to lose to incumbent Sen. Susan Collins. That would hamper the Democrats’ wet dreams of impeaching Donald Trump.

THAT’S why the Democrat Party of Maine called on Platner to drop out yesterday and cut off funds to his campaign.

As of this writing, Platner has not withdrawn from the race. In a statement released on social media, Totenkopf man said he was “taking time to reflect.”

It’s just a matter of time. He has to exit by July 13th so Democrats can do what they love to do: pick a candidate without the mess of a primary.

Early on Monday it was reported that Platner had cancelled a rash of campaign appearances as rumors spread that yet another scandal was on its way. Politico broke the story that an ex-girlfriend - a Democrat this time - said Platner raped her five years ago.

A woman who dated Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner says he forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago despite her repeated objections, an allegation Platner denies.

The woman, a 41-year-old Maine resident named Jenny Racicot, detailed the alleged incident to POLITICO in three interviews over the past two weeks. POLITICO also spoke with a man Racicot dated and confided in the years after the alleged incident, and reviewed documents, including emails between Racicot and her therapist and messages between Racicot and an acquaintance whom she warned against getting involved with Platner years before he ran for office.

Racicot previously described “reckless” and “unsettling” behavior by Platner to The New York Times, but says she didn’t go public with the specific assault claim because she didn’t want to be known as a rape victim.

Racicot said she later felt compelled to go public about her experience because the reaction to the Times story was dominated by controversy about another woman, Lyndsey Fifield, who alleged Platner mistreated her and faced attacks because of her ties to the Republican Party. (Contacted by POLITICO, Fifieldstood by the allegations she made to the Times and declined to comment further.)

“My part of the story was just a read-over,” Racicot said in an interview. “And the story was Lyndsey, and the accusations of her being politically motivated.”

Racicot says her revelations are definitely not politically motivated. She shares Platner’s radical politics.

By Monday evening, several of Platner’s prominent supporters had jumped ship.

It’s worth remembering that for Democrats, a Nazi death camp tattoo was not a deal breaker.

In a sane world, that alone would have ended Platner’s political aspirations. In the end, it was all about the polls.
